Voters Can Cast Absentee Ballots in Person Saturday

A last minute option is available for those voting absentee in next week's primary. Nathan McVay has more.

Greene County Clerk Richard Struckhoff's office will be open from 8 A.M. to Noon, this Saturday for those wanting to cast an Absentee ballot for August 5's primary election.

Struckhoff says state law requires all election authorities to be open for four hours the Saturday before an election. He believes it's a nice convenience for those planning to vote absentee.

Some of the reasons people may vote absentee are being absent from the county on the day of election, severe illness, and working for election authorities outside your home precinct.

The deadline for those sending absentee ballots by mail is 5 pm this Wednesday. For KSMU News, I'm Nathan McVay.
