Wednesday is the last day to register to vote in Springfield’s June Special Election. KSMU’s Brittany Donnellan has details.
To register, people can visit one of their many nearby permanent voter registration locations, including schools, libraries, colleges, City Hall and the courthouse, according to County Clerk Richard Struckoff’s office. Residents can also mail in their registration if they are postmarked by May 9th.
On the June 5th ballot, Springfield voters will be deciding whether to repeal the smoking ban that was narrowly approved by voters last April. Pleasant View Fire Protection District will vote on a 50-cent tax levy increase and Fair Grove will determine whether to continue a sales tax.
