  • The American Red Cross will hold its 3rd annual garage sale today (6/10) until 4:30 at 1545 W. Bypass. All money raised goes towards scholarships for low-income children to attend babysitters training and babysitters camp.
  • MSU’s Tent Theatre presents “Shout!, the Mod Musical” tonight and tomorrow night (6/10-6/11). For tickets, 836-7678.
  • It’s Open Mic night tonight (6/10) at 7 at the Park Central Branch Library.

  • Tomorrow and Sunday (6/11-6/12) are Free Fishing Days in Missouri. You don’t have to purchase permits, trout stamps or trout park daily tags those two days.   • The American Red Cross will hold its 2nd Annual Run for “RED”iness tomorrow morning (6/11) at 7:30. All money raised goes to help provide disaster relief in our area including in Joplin. Register online at http://www.active.com.
  • The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks’ 10th Annual Cycle for Life is tomorrow (6/11) to raise money for families impacted by breast cancer. Check in begins at 6:15 in the morning. A 50-mile bike ride starts at 7, a 25-mile ride at 8 and a 10-mile ride at 9 from James River Assembly. To register, http://www.active.com.
  • Bark in the Park is tomorrow (6/11) at 8 am at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park. Take your dog on a walk around Lake Drummond, then visit with canine-related vendors.   • The Library Center will host a Civil War Antique Road Show tomorrow (6/11) from 11 to 4. Take any Civil War era treasures to have them assessed by scholars and professionals.
  • The Midtown Carnegie Branch Library will host a Midtown Block Party tomorrow afternoon (6/11) at 3 for all ages. There will be music, refreshments, games and more.
  • Jonathan Casady will present a concert on the carillon at MSU’s Meyer Library Sunday night (6/12) at 7.
