  • Missouri State University’s commencement ceremonies will be today (5/15) at 10, 1:30 and 5.
  • It’s Kids Weekend at the Eureka Springs Festival of the Arts. There’s going to be sidewalk chalk, clowns, interactive arts and crafts and more. Basin Park will feature free music today (5/15) from noon to 6, and there will be a free dance in the park after dark tonight.   • CoxHealth has added another ambulance to the Republic Ambulance Station, and, to celebrate, they’re hosting an open house at the station tomorrow (5/16) from 11 to 3. See the new ambulance, meet the crew and enjoy hot dogs and burgers. The Station is on Illinois Ave., behind Burger King.
  • Arts in the Park continues tomorrow night (5/16) at 7 at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield, featuring the Missouri State Community Band. Take blankets and lawn chairs.

  • Sac River Bluegrass has moved their monthly Bluegrass Jam and Show to Springfield. They’ll host bluegrass events twice each month at Firefighters Local 152 Hall, 2350 N. Clifton. The first show will be the “5 Alarm” Bluegrass Jam and Potluck dinner tomorrow night at 5. Take your acoustic instrument and a dish to share. Admission is free…donations are accepted.
  • The Greater Ozarks Audubon Society invites you to meet tomorrow morning (5/16) at 8 in the parking lot of the Springfield Conservation Nature Center to go bird watching. The Audubon Society will host a bird watching trip tomorrow (5/16) to the Henning Conservation Area. Meet at 8 am on the west side of Remington’s, 1655 W. Republic Rd.
