  • The Greater Ozarks Audubon Society and the Springfield-Greene County Park Board will host Green Fest tomorrow (5/30) along the South Creek Greenway along Sunset between Jefferson and National. Learn ways to go green and have a fun time in the process. There will be drawings for prizes, including bird houses, native plants, a rain barrel and a native plant garden. The event will also feature nature walks, face painting and temporary tattoos.
  • Dickerson Park Zoo invites you to help celebrate the elephants’ birthdays tomorrow (5/30) during Zoobilee. The children’s entertainment festival will be held from 10 to 2. The elephant birthday party starts at 1 with fruit and gelatin cakes for the zoo’s elephants. Other activities during the day will include performances by the Fishin’ Magicians, “Zoolympics,” an inflatable bounce house and obstacle course and animal feedings and keeper chats.
