  • The Branson Air show, to celebrate the opening of the Branson Airport, will be held tonight, tomorrow and Sunday (5/8-5/10) at the airport. Gates open at 5. For ticket information, bransonairshow.com.
  • Evangel University Auxiliary’s 29th Annual Colossal Garage Sale continues today (5/8) until 5 and tomorrow (5/9) from 8 to noon in the Mabee Fitness Center in the northwest part of campus.
  • Geezerfest! will begin tonight (5/8) at 7 on the Library Center’s patio. Adults are invited to take lawn chairs and listen to tunes from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Admission is free.
  • The Discovery Center’s monthly Star Party will be held tonight (5/8) from 5 to 8. Star Parties on the Discovery Center’s patio are free.
  • The Bikers United Youth Safety Festival will start today (5/8) at 5 at the West Plains Civic Center. Admission is free.
  • The Wilson’s Creek Farmer’s Market continues tonight (5/8) from 5:30 to 8:30 in the Battlefield Community Room. There will be a demonstration of lasagna gardening.
  • The C-Street Market on Commercial Street at the Footbridge continues tomorrow morning (5/9) from 8 to 12:30.
  • The Greater Springfield Farmer’s Market continues tomorrow morning (5/9) at 8:30 on the Northeast part of the Battlefield Mall Parking Lot.
  • The Greater Polk County Farmer’s Market will be open tomorrow morning (5/9) from 7:30 to 11 at the intersection of Main and Locust in Bolivar.
  • Downtown West Plains will host “Market on the Square” tomorrow (5/9) from 1 to 5.
  • The 18th Annual Kitchen 5K Fun Run and One Mile Walk with Mom will be held tomorrow (5/9) at City Utilities’ main office, 301 E. Central. For more information, 831-8630.

  • The Eureka Springs Festival of the Arts continues thru the end of the month. The Artrageous Parade has been rescheduled for tomorrow afternoon (5/9) at 2. A Garden Club Plant Sale will be held from 8 to noon in the Eureka Springs High School parking lot. And there will be free music in Basin Park from noon to 6 tomorrow (5/9) and noon to 4 Sunday (5/10). Native American flute player John Two-Hawks will give a concert in THE Auditorium Sunday at 2.   • Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield’s Art in the Park Series continues tomorrow night (5/9) at 7 with High Strung, a bluegrass band from the Springfield-Branson area. Take lawn chairs or blankets for the free concert .

  • The Cruisin’ Against Bruisin’ 7th Annual High Roller Run to benefit the Family Violence Center will be held tomorrow (5/10) beginning at Cruisin 66, 1310 S. Glenstone.

  • The Springfield Conservation Nature Center invites adults to go on a Niangua River Float Trip tomorrow (5/9). Canoe rental is $20 per person. The Conservation Teen Club, for anyone 12 to 17-years-old, will go on a wildflower and photography hike tomorrow (5/9). The Nature Center invites parents and their children age zero to two to the program “Babes in the Woods Celebrates Mothers” tomorrow morning at 11.   • The Nature Center will host a Flint Knapping Demonstration Sunday (5/10) from 1 to 3 as part of its Primitive Skills Series. You don’t need to register.
  • The Nature Center will show the Conservation Video “Introduction to Camping” Sunday afternoon (5/10) at 2.
  • All mothers get in free to Dickerson Park Zoo Sunday (5/10) in celebration of Mother’s Day.
  • The first of five concerts in the Jane A. Meyer Carillon Series at Missouri State will be held Sunday night (5/10) at 6 outside the Meyer Library. A reception will be held after the performance in the lobby of the library. Take lawn chairs and blankets—admission is free.
  • The 2nd Annual Ozarks Sustainability Festival will be held Sunday (5/10) from 10 am to 6 pm on the grounds of the Next Step Seventh-Day Adventist Church in West Plains. The focus will be on locally-grown produce and renewable energy sources.
