  • The Missouri State Volleyball Team will face Southern Illinois tonight (10/9) at 7 at Hammons Student Center. They’ll host Evansville tomorrow night (10/10) at 7. For tickets, 836-7678.
  • The annual ArtsFiesta! celebration is tonight (10/9) from 6 to 9 at Founders Park in downtown Springfield. There will be an all-female Mariachi band from Springfield’s sister city Tlaquepaque, Mexico, children’s games, authentic Mexican food and traditional Mexican dancing. Admission is $6. Children under 10 get in free. The Mariachi band will perform at noon today (10/9) in the Plaster Student Union at Missouri State and at 2:30 at the Busch Municipal Building.
  • Mamma Mia! is at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts today thru Sunday (10/9-10/11). For tickets, 836-7678.
  • The 5th Annual Wooley Creek School Bluegrass Festival is today thru Sunday (10/9-10/11) at the school, 3 miles west of Cape Fair on Highway 76. Proceeds will be used to help maintain the one-room school. Free primitive camping will started at 8 this morning. There will be food and drink vendors on site. The festival will feature several bluegrass bands, and you can meet Dean Webb, an original member of the Dillards. For more information, 335-0096.
