It looks like Punxsutawney Phil was right this year. Despite the welcomed warmth we’ve been experiencing in the Ozarks, it seems that this weekend the winter weather is upon us. According to the National Weather Service, a strong cold front is expected to roll through Friday morning, possibly accompanied by light rain or snow flurries. The temperature shouldn’t rise above the upper 20’s for the remainder of the weekend, with the wind chill in the single digits. The weather for Monday is still uncertain, but precipitation is possible, so break out the heavy coats and be prepared for the winter weather. For KSMU News, I'm Shane Franklin.
