Yellowstone National Park is unbelievable if you know where and how to look. Approaching the Norris intersection, my husband spotted this young bear sparing with an elk. The elk would charge at the bear making a snorting noise, then the bear would charge at the elk not wanting to be outdone. This went on for several minutes until more visitors started showing up. Finally the elk wandered off and the bear started grazing and walking toward the now large crowd of people. When the Ranger arrived, everone was told to get inside their vehicles. The bear kept getting closer and closer and my hands got shakier and shakier! This was one of the pictures that didn't turn out too blurry.
We are really looking forward to the Ken Burns National Parks series.
