Jeremy Shreckhise

Jeremy is a Graphic Design major at Missouri State University. He was recently honored with the Jim Bremer Design Scholorship for outstanding acheivement in Graphic Design. He enjoys photography, biking, hiking, camping, organic gardening, cooking, music, movies, and spending time with his wife Angie, thier two year old son Elijah, and dog Maya.

    Pea Ridge National Military Park

    I’m Jeremy Shreckhise, KSMU’s photographer and graphic designer. Since I was a child, I’ve had a love for history. Some of my fondest memories are of family trips to museums and historical sites. The rich history of the American Civil War is particularly interesting to me. Over 5000 battles were fought in 23 states between 1861 and 1865. The National Parks Conservation Association lists 76 battlefields, historic sites and monuments pertaining to this great conflict. Two of those locations are right here in the Ozarks, Wilson's Creek National Battlefield and Pea Ridge National Military Park.

    Photo Essay: Clean Up and Relief Efforts Are Underway in Joplin

     

    The American Red Cross and other agencies are still on the ground in Joplin to help with relief and clean-up efforts following the May 22 tornado that struck the town. KSMU's Jeremy Shreckhise compiled this photo essay.
