Springfield Regional Arts Council will present a three-day Watercolor Workshop for adults with artist Alicia Farris. The workshop will be held at The Creamery Arts Center, 411 N. Sherman Parkway, on June 23, 24, and 25 from 9:00 AM to Noon each day. Explore the versatility of painting with transparent watercolor from the fundamentals of color, value and composition to techniques such as wet on wet, dry brush, glazing, texturing and color mixing. At the end of the first day there will be an optional but recommended group visit to the Springfield Art Museum to see the national watercolor show, Watercolor USA, both to gain inspiration, and to look for styles and techniques that were discussed and practiced in class. This workshop is for both beginners and the intermediate painters. Cost of the workshop is $69 and a supply list will be available upon registration. Registration deadline is Tuesday, June 16. To register, call the Arts Council at 862-2787 (ARTS) or email info [at] springfieldarts [dot] org.
