    The Yellow House Community Arts Center in West Plains presents singer-songwriter Mosa Saturday May 30th at 7:30pm. Mosa (also known as Mimi Baczewska) has a long history of making music in the Ozarks; she's now living in the east and only makes rare trips back here. She'll be offering a sneak preview of her new CD. Admission is $5 at Yellow House, 209 Trish Knight Street in West Plains.

    The Mountain Home Symphony Orchestra in Mountain Home, Arkansas, is a non-profit community orchestra consisting of volunteer musicians. They'll perform their spring concert, called "The Next Generation" on Sunday June 7th at 2:30pm in Dunbar Auditorium at Mountain Home High School, 500 Bomber Blvd (off Highway 62 at the West Creek Shopping Center). Conductor and Music Director Barbara Deegan promises something for everyone--familiar pieces by Leroy Anderson and John Philip Sousa, as well as an Ellington arrangement, and music by William Grant Still. Audience donations will be appreciated. This concert features five young musicians; scholarships are offerd to graduating seniors.     The Springfield Art Museum presents “The Legacy of Robert Palmer – Part III,” opening August 8. This exhibit of original drawings by Springfield’s renowned political cartoonist was selected from a trove of over twelve hundred drawings received as a gift from the late artist’s family. The works are a glimpse of social, political and human nature issues that are universal and timeless.     Noted Arkansas artist Larry Mansker will be on hand as his long-awaited collection of murals featuring Eureka Springs residents in Eureka Springs settings and activities will be unveiled this Sunday, May 31, in the Conservatory of The 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa located at 75 Prospect Avenue on the Historic Eureka Springs Loop. The three-hour show begins at 12 noon. There are eight large paintings in the collection. The public is invited and refreshments will be served.

    The Ozarks Regional YMCA’s Y Arts Academy presents the gallery showcase for its "Our Town Photography Project," on Friday June 5th from 6-9 pm at Big Mommas Coffee & Espresso Bar, 217 E. Commercial. "Our Town" is funded by the Missouri Arts Council in partnership with Reed Middle School and Darklight Gallery. This program teaches participants about photography, architecture, English and Springfield’s history, all at no cost. The exhibit will feature black-and-white photography and mixed media, the culmination of 12 weeks' works by nine students.

    You're invited to celebrate ragtime at its finest at the 29th annual Scott Joplin Ragtime Festival June 3-7 in Sedalia, Missouri.     As the culmination of a five-week musical theater workshop for children, a production of Disney's "Cinderella Kids" will be Saturday May 30 at 7:00pm in the Lyric Theater in downtown Harrison, Arkansas.     The a cappella quartet "Blend" from Energy, Illinois will perform live in concert at the Avenue Theatre, 307 Washington Avenue in West Plains, Missouri on Thursday, May 28 at 7:00 pm.
