Event Description

Opening Saturday September 16 and continuing through January 1st (2018), “Stuart Davis: In Full Swing.” Davis, who died in 1964, was a preeminent figure in American modern art, with a career that stretched from the early twentieth century well into the early 1960s. Over the course of his sixty-year career, Davis invented an artistic vocabulary of bold colors and strong forms, informed by his enthusiasm for jazz. This special exhibition features more than 80 of Stuart Davis’s paintings and drawings. Tickets are $8, or get a discount on both the Dale Chihuly and Stuart Davis exhibits for $12.
