Join First Friday Art Walk from 6-10 p.m. on Friday Oct. 6 for a busy evening of art, artist receptions, live music, hands-on activities and more in 26 participating locations. Among the highlights: *Yellow Chair Makery, 311 E. McDaniel, hosts the First Friday Art Walk 16th Anniversary Art Contest & Exhibition during the Oct. 6 Art Walk. See the amazing talent of area artists, find out who took to the top prizes, and VOTE for your favorite for the People’s Choice Award. *Art Inspired celebrates its Grand Reopening in its new location on Market Street with featured artist Sheli Peterson and her exhibit, “The Art of Storytelling: Children’s Book Illustration”. *BookMarx presents featured artist Will Knauer with “Will's Art Show 2.” *The Creamery Arts Center presents “Pure Enjoyment with Brewer Science”, in cooperation with Springfield Regional Arts Council and Arts Rolla.
