The original art exhibition “Illness of Mentality,” continues through April 27 at the Drury on C-Street Art Gallery, 225 E. Commercial Street. The exhibit uses art to explore the effects of mental illness. Those who suffer from mental illness often find it difficult to express what living with their condition feels like through spoken word. The exhibit offers a new visual perspective to visitors by immersing them in a unique artistic representation of the experience. In doing so, it hopes to remove barriers of understanding and alleviate stigmas surrounding mental illness. Hours are Mon-Thurs 11am-3pm; Friday 11-3 and 3:30 to 6pm; and Saturday 10am to 2pm. For information visit the Drury on C-Street Facebook page.
