Crooked Creek Concert Association presents 2017 Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Award winner Winona Wilde, who will perform at the Roots Music Palace of the Ozarks, Harrison, Arkansas’s historic Lyric Theater, Thursday May 17 at 7:00PM, with special guest opener, Fayetteville’s Elizabeth Scott. Tickets are available in advance for $10; at the door, they will be $15. A Canadian native of Iraqui descent, Winona Wilde attended law school before embarking on her music career. She says she grew up on "moody, dense" classical composers like Beethoven and Schumann, then got into Ray Charles and Nat King Cole, then started experimenting with what she calls "edgier stuff like Tool and Nine Inch Nails," and "melodic metal."
