Event Description

Residents of Ash Grove school district and surrounding area are invited to this free special night designed to provide information and education that makes it possible to improve your life and community.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for dinner, speakers and booths continue until 7:30 p.m. The $8 per person dinner admission is paid at the door and includes BBQ, sides, homemade cobbler and ice cream. All proceeds benefit the Sunshine Center.

The 30 minute classes include:

6:00 p.m. Amy Patillo - Health Insurance Literacy
6:30 p.m. David Burton - Working Together to Create a Better Community
7:00 p.m. Pam Duitsman - Nutrition for Life-Long Health

Visit with representatives with these local non-profits to learn how to serve in your own community:

* Care to Learn * Nursing Home Auxiliary
* Ash Grove Food Pantry * Freeway Ministries
* Sunshine Center * Community Gardens

Bring two cups of soil in for a high-quality soil test performed by the soil lab at the University of Missouri. We are offering a discounted rate for soil samples submitted in person at this event.
