Victor Hugues, who died of Cancer recently, was well known around the area, and his friend want to honor him in a special way and help his children their future educations. Victor ran the first mobile cookie and pastry shop; he also owned and operated Munchies in the 1970s and 80s, and cooked at Cartoons. A fundraiser for the family of Victor Hugues will be held Friday Oct.5th from 6:00 to 11:00pm at the Historic Firehouse on Commercial Street. There will be a silent auction featuring local artists, along with live music by the Mullets, the Garbonzos, Techs and The Roadies, and the Skeletons. Admission is by a $10.00 donation at the door, and you're encouraged to bring a covered dish. Clark Pike will be cooking a roasted barbecue pig.
