The next concert on the Jane A. Meyer Carillon attached to Meyer Library at Missouri State University is this Sunday July 14th at 7:00pm. Guest artist for the concert is one of the pre-eminent carilloneurs in North America, Karl Keldermans, affiliated with Concordia Seminary in St.Louis since 2000, and recently retired from the position of full-time Carillonneur for the Park District in Springfield, Illinois. He'll play a wide-ranging recital of music by Albeniz, Beethoven, as well as his own original compositions and other works written expressly for the carillon. These carillon concerts are free and open to the public--just bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. For information visit www.missouristate.edu/carillon.
