Springfield Little Theatre's 78th season opens with a real blockbuster: Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg's epic musical "Les Miserables" on September 14th. Set in the midst of the social and political struggles of 19th century France, Victor Hugo's heroic tale describes one man's life journey through a minefield of persecution, passion and revolution. This musical stage version of "Les Mis" has thrilled audiences all over the world with its powerful affirmation of the human spirit and has become one of today's most popular musicals. LT's production of "Les Mis" will run Sept.14-Oct 7 at the Landers Theatre, 311 E. Walnut. Following the opening weekend which will run Friday through Sunday, performances will be Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:30pm for four weekends.
