Event Dates:
Repeats every week every Sunday until Mon Apr 08 2013 .
March 24, 2013 - 2:30pm - 5:00pm

Springfield Little Theatre presents one of the late Marvin Hamlisch's crowning achievements, the musical "A Chorus Line," March 22-April 7 at the Landers Theatre, 311 E. Walnut. On a bare stage in a New York theatre, 17 hopeful--maybe even DESPERATE--dancers, some bright-eyed novices and some jaded veterans, audition for 8 coveted roles in a Broadway musical. Between the grueling, sweaty audition routines, the director-choreographer interrogates the dancers, compelling them to reveal their individual dreams, secrets and shortcomings. A timeless tale of high kicks, bright lights, standing ovations and defying the odds, "A Chorus Line" is a celebration of the over-dedicated, underpaid, highly trained chorus dancers and the American musical itself. Cheryl Miller directs and choreographs LT's production, with musical direction by Susan Gravatt. Opening night of "A Chorus Line" at the Landers is Friday Mar.22 at 7:30pm; performances are scheduled Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 and Sundays at 2:30pm through April 7, with an extra Saturday matinee at 2:30pm on April 6. For tickets call the Landers box office at 869-1334 or visit www.springfieldlittletheatre.org.
