The Missouri State University Symphony Orchestra will present its fall concert Tuesday Nov.5 at the early start time of 7:00pm in the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts. Featured will be a special guest orchestra from Park Hill South High School in Kansas City, an award-winning group conducted by MSU alum Diane Markley. The two orchestras will play selections of their own and then combine for a big finale. The concert will include Bizet’s “Carmen” Suite; Tchaikovsky’s “Marche Slave;” selections from Aaron Copland’s film score “The Red Pony;” and music by Elgar. No tickets are required; the concert is free and open to the public.
