The Parkview High School Performing Arts Department presents their final show of the 2012–2013 Season, “Chess: The Musical”, a challenging, contemporary show dealing with love and political intrigue. The dates are April 11-14 at Parkview High School. With music by two former members of ABBA, and lyrics by Tim Rice, "Chess" involves a romantic triangle between two top chess playes, an American and a Russian, and a woman who manages one and falls in love with the other. All this takes place against the backdrop of the Cold War tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union. Audience seating will be on-stage, allowing for a more intimate experience for attendees. Performances of "Chess" will be Thursday through Saturday April 11-13 at 7:00pm and Sunday the 14th at 2:00pm. For tickets call 523-9300 or visit www.phstheatre.org.
