Branson Board of Aldermen Votes in New Member

City of Branson

A vacant Branson Board of Alderman seat has been filled by a Branson performer.

This week, the sitting Board of Alderman voted 4 to 1 for Kirsten Hart to fill the seat of former Ward II Alderman Patrick Parnell who retired last month.

Hart is an author, speaker and singer who relocated to Branson seven years ago from Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She says she’s “passionate about maintaining the heritage of downtown Branson” but she says she “embraces positive advances towards economic growth and vitality for future generations.”

She and her husband, Dave, have been performing as singers in Branson shows, including Dino Kartsonakis and "Oh Happy Day Goin' Back to Gospel."

Michele Skalicky has worked at KSMU since the station occupied the old white house at National and Grand. She enjoys working on both the announcing side and in news and has been the recipient of statewide and national awards for news reporting. She likes to tell stories that make a difference. Michele enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, camping and leisurely kayaking.
