Checkpoint in Springfield Results in Arrests

The Springfield Police Department and Greene County Sheriff's Office conducted a sobriety checkpoint Friday night at Campbell and Bennett.  A total of 481 motorists was contacted during the four-hour checkpoint.  Five drivers were arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, one was arrested for a warrant, and one was arrested for drugs.  Two people were charged with No Operator's License.

The checkpoint was funded through a grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation, Division of Highway Safety.
