The Community Foundation of the Ozarks Announces 2018/2019 Grant Cycles

The Community Foundation of the Ozarks is accepting proposals for its 2018-2019 grant period. The grants are for nonprofit agencies in central and southern Missouri.

The grants are generally divided into two categories: those focused on the Springfield-Greene County metro region, and those for all of southern Missouri outside of the Springfield area.

This year’s grant program includes a new round focusing on diversity and inclusion. According to CFO, those proposals should show how the project would impact and improve the quality of life for people who are under-served and underrepresented.

Those applications are due Friday, October 19.

Then there are the Collective Impact Grants--those allow groups to team up and address red-flag issues identified in the 2017 Community Focus Report, including poverty, mental health, and child abuse.

“What’s great about Collective Impact is it gives nonprofits an opportunity to work together on something that they may not have ever worked together on before. It brings together nonprofits that don’t otherwise have a partnership but are working either within the same population, or working on a similar issue from different points of view,” Dierks says.

Applications for Collective Impact Grants are due November 16.

For the CFO’s rural partners, this year’s Coover Regional Grant will make $250,000 available for addressing needs in rural communities. Coover Regional Grant applications will be accepted starting November 15.
