Digital Magazines Now Available Thru the Library

Springfield-Greene County Library

A new service began this week in the Springfield-Greene County Library District.    Library patrons can now access more than 120 magazines on their personal computers and mobile devices.  According to the district, there are no holds, no checkout periods and no limits to the number of magazines someone can download.

The digital magazines are provided through Zinio for Libraries, a product from Recorded Books.

To access the site, go to thelibrary.org/digital and click on Zinio for Libraries.

After you create an account, a patron can read complete current editions of magazines as well as back issues.

According to the library district, some magazines, such as National Geographic, also have interactive elements including audio and video.

For those without computers or mobile devices, the library will continue to carry paper editions of the 1,200 magazine and newspaper subscriptions currently available in the library branches.
