Four Things to Know About Ozarks Public Radio’s New Weekend Schedule

Planet Money And How I Built This
NPR

Beginning Oct. 7, KSMU – Ozarks Public Radio began offering new weekend listening options. While we were sad to bid farewell to a long-running program, we’re excited about the addition of two new programs, and have adjusted our schedule to better meet your listening needs. Here’s what you need to know:

We’ve added new programs!

Planet Money and How I Built This can be heard Saturdays 10-11 am, with a repeat broadcast Sundays 4-5 pm. The one-hour program block brings you two of National Public Radio's most popular podcasts back-to-back. Planet Money explains the economy with playful storytelling and Peabody award-winning deep dive, roll up your sleeves journalism. On How I Built This, host Guy Raz speaks with innovators and entrepreneurs to explore their journeys in building what are now iconic companies.

The Best of Car Talk has left our schedule

NPR has been updating old segments of The Best of Car Talk for the past several years in order to supply fresh content. Earlier this year NPR announced it will no longer be updating the program beginning this fall. With the show moving to re-runs full-time, we thought it best to bring you fresh content each weekend with Planet Money and How I Built This. We’re grateful for all the moments Tom and Ray Magliozzi, otherwise known as Click and Clack, have brought us through the years!

We’ve moved some programs around

To make room for our new programs, we moved Ask Me Another and Fresh Air Weekend back one hour on Saturdays to air from 11 am – 1 pm.

On Sundays, the repeat broadcast of Ask Me Another can be heard from 5-6 pm, followed by the repeat broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion from 6 - 8 pm.
