Growing a Community Garden

Within walking distance of the Missouri State University (MSU) campus, sits the MSU Campus Garden, which began operation in 2011.

It is located at 930 East Normal St., across from Plaster Stadium

Cady Goble and Kara Powelson, both students in MSU's Darr College of Agriculture, are the current garden managers. They share more about the garden and plans for the fall season.

A native of Malaysia, Emily moved to Springfield in 2010 and started working at Missouri State University in 2014. She’s currently the assistant director in the Office of Strategic Communication. She has a BA in Mass Communications from Colorado State University-Pueblo and a Master of Journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
