KSMU Receives 2016 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award

KSMU is pleased to announce that it has earned a 2016 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award. The results were announced April 19 by the Radio and Television Digital News Association (RTDNA).

Kathryn Eutsler's story, How One Teachers is Furthering Local Stem Education, One Prosthetic Arm at a Time, won for Use of Sound in the Small Market Radio category.

Michele Skalicky has worked at KSMU since the station occupied the old white house at National and Grand. She enjoys working on both the announcing side and in news and has been the recipient of statewide and national awards for news reporting. She likes to tell stories that make a difference. Michele enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, camping and leisurely kayaking.
