Learn More about Planned Kansas Expressway Extension at Public Hearing

Greene County

A meeting to share information about the Kansas Expressway Extension Project is set for this week.

The Greene County Highway Department will host the public hearing tonight (3/23) from 6 to 8 at Wanda Gray Elementary, 2101 W. Farm Rd. 182.

Plans for the project, to extend Kansas Expressway south a little more than two miles to a connection with Cox Road, began several years ago.

The department started the next phase of the project in late 2015 by conducting an environmental study along the future corridor.

The meeting tonight will include updated information from the Environmental Assessment, a chance to talk to specialists working on the project, an updated project timeline and a chance to comment on the planned extension.
