Lineup for Birthplace of Route 66 Festival Announced

City of Springfield

The three-day Birthplace of Route 66 Festival is set for August 12-14 in Springfield.  Events Friday include a Motorcycle Village, the Birthplace of Route 66 Festival Parade and performances by Tripwire, Sequel Dose, Anthony Gomes, the Baldknobbers and Machine Gun Symphony.  An ice cream social will be hosted by actor, Barry Williams. A concert at the Gillioz will feature Asleep at the Wheel with Rhonda Vincent &the Rage, and a drive-in movie will feature The Little Rascals. 

Saturday’s events will include a car show and motorcycle show, a poker run, a run/walk, live music by the Hughes Brothers, Rock-Roll Revue, Back Road Story, Cole Porter Band, Blackjack Billy, Lindsay Ell and Dallas Smith.  The Marshall Tucker Band will perform at the Gillioz Saturday night.

Events Sunday include a run/walk, car and motorcycle show and live music by Casey Lynne & the Deal Breakers, School of Rock House Band, Clay Cooper and Barrett Baber.

A Vendor Village will be open all three days.
