The voter identification law approved last November goes into effect June 1.

The Greene County Clerk’s office says in a news release that voters next week should expect to follow the same identification requirements as have been implemented in the past. If you do not have a voter ID card when visiting the polls Tuesday, the office says the following IDs will be accepted: One issued by the State of Missouri or its agencies, the U.S. Government or its agencies, an institution of higher learning in Missouri or copy of current utility bill or bank statement. A driver’s license or state ID from another state is also acceptable.

Polls are open Tuesday from 6 am to 7 pm.
