New Film Premieres in Springfield this Weekend

Shadow Bound

The movie, Shadow Bound, which will premiere tomorrow night (10/31) in Springfield, is the film version of the internationally award-winning web series of the same name.  Nathan Shelton is the film's creator and executive producer.

"And it's a silent horror/lovecraftian web series that's set in the 1920's--late 1920's/early 1930's," he said.

According to Shelton, the web series was an effort to push himself as a filmmaker without being dialogue heavy.  It relies on visuals and background music to tell the story.  He said the goal was always to turn it into a feature film.

The premiere this weekend will include Halloween fun.

"It's adult fun, but it's also going to be kind of kid fun, too.  We have a costume contest.  We have a raffle contest.  We, of course, will have movie merchandise.  The cast and crew are going to be on hand.  It's a full red carpet event," he said.

The premiere starts tomorrow night (10/31) at 8 at The Old Glass Place, 521 E. St. Louis, in Springfield.  To purchase tickets, clickhere.
