The OTC Foundation, the fundraising arm of Ozarks Technical Community College, has received a donation of 7.69 acres of land in Republic, Mo.  The land is located south of U.S. 60 in west Republic near the Christian County line.  According to OTC, "this seven-figure, in-kind gift was made possible by one of the Lester E. Cox companies consisting of the Bussey, Cox and Lipscomb families."

In a news release, Larry Lipscomb, family representative, said, “we believe in OTC’s mission and we’re very pleased to be able to make this gift that could further education opportunities in Republic.”

OTC Spokesman Steve Koehler says there are currently no plans in place for how the land will be used.

Dr. Hal Higdon, chancellor of Ozarks Technical Community College. says they "look forward to exploring how we can best serve our students and community through this substantial gift.”
