Overall, Schools Fared Well in Tuesday's Election

Voters in the Bradleyville School District said yes to a tax levy increase.  The money will be used for repairs and maintenance at schools, for staffing and for operating expenses.

A measure to allow the Fordland School District to raise its tax levy for a new early childhood center was approved.  The center will also serve as a FEMA storm shelter for the community.

A bond issue for Neosho Schools was approved by voters Tuesday.  Neosho plans to build a new junior high school.

Voters in the Richards R-V School District in Howell County turned down a ballot issue that would have allowed the district to build a high school.

A bond issue for Billings Schools was approved.  Among other things, the district will construct a multipurpose facility that will serve as a FEMA storm shelter.

Voters said yes to a ballot issue for Galena Schools.  The district plans to build a tornado safe room at the elementary school and high school and will improve school buildings.

A $20 million bond issue for Ozark Schools was approved.  The district plans to expand school buildings, add a ninth grade center and build five storm safe rooms.
