Ozark Mountain Daredevils Concert in Springfield will be Simulcast

missourilife.com

If you didn’t get tickets to the sold out Birthplace of Route 66 show, featuring the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, at the Gillioz on August 9th, you can still see the concert—just not at the theatre.  The City of Springfield will present a live simulcast on a 16 X 30’ screen beginning at 7 pm at Park Central Square.

The concert will also feature local musicians Powder Mill and Cindy Woolfe (wolf) and Mark Bilyeu (bill-OO).

In a news release from the city of Springfield, Ozark Mountain Daredevils member John Dillon says the band “was influenced by the spirit of Route 66, the artists who traveled through Springfield and the music they shared.”  He says it’s an honor to be a part of the Birthplace of Route 66 Festival.

The event starts on Friday August 8th and continues through Saturday night (8/9).

It will include a classic car cruise-in, a Birthplace of Route 66 Roadside Park ribbon cutting, a drive-in movie, featuring “Back to the Future” on the side of the Springfield Expo Center and the Route 66 5K Run.
