Photos: Students in Springfield Participate in SGF Walkout For Our Lives

More than 200 Central High School students walked outside the school Friday morning holding signs calling for an end to gun violence.

The central Springfield school was one of three Springfield Public Schools taking part in SGF Walkout for Our Lives.  Glendale and Kickapoo also took part along with students at Drury and Missouri State University.

A small group of people opposing stronger gun legislation peacefully protested nearby.

Drury students held their Walkout event in solidarity with Central.  They stood just across Jefferson Street facing Central students on the opposite side.
