The two finalists are Jason Gage of Salina, Kansas, and Wayne Pyle of West Valley City, Utah.

Cora Scott is a spokeswoman for the City of Springfield.

"Both of those men have extensive experience as city managers and assistant city managers in a couple of communities," Scott said. "So, we’re looking forward to meeting them and giving the public a chance to interact with them on Sunday and Monday."

Other events include a Community Stakeholder Breakfast at Springfield Art Museum beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Monday.  Representatives of many community groups and organizations will attend.

Meetings with City of Springfield employees and final interview rotation with City Council will take place from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday.

Community tours for the candidates will begin at 2:00 p.m. Monday.
