James River Basin Partnership and Springfield Community Gardens will host a workshop on permaculture-based techniques to reduce the amount of water a garden requires tomorrow (4/25) from 2 to 4 at the Midtown Community Garden, 1475 N. Benton.  Michele Skalicky met up with Tiffany Frey, project manager with James River Basin Partnership and Ben Tegeler, a co-presenter of the workshop, at the garden to talk about the program.

Opening night at The Amp, in J.R. Martin Park in Republic, is tonight (4/24) featuring the Disney movie, Tangled at 7:45.  A meet and greet with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider starts at 6:30 along with face painting, balloon art, games and more.  Sky lanterns will be released at the end of the movie.  For more information, 732-3500.

The 18th annual Greene County Master Gardeners Plant Sale will be held tomorrow (4/25) starting at 7:30 am at the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center at Nathanael Greene-Close Memorial Park.   Shrubs, small trees, bulbs, perennials, annuals, grasses, ground covers, houseplants, vegetables, herbs and garden related items will be available.
