The Birthplace of Route 66 Festival is today through Sunday (8/14-8/16) in downtown Springfield.
The event will feature a Route 66 parade, a vendor village, a two-day car and motorcycle show, a motorcycle poker run, concerts at the Gillioz, a 6.6 mile run and a confab or Route 66 authors, artists, collectors and association at the Old Glass Place, 501 E. The Music at Founders Park Series continues this weekend. “Cars” will be shown tonight (8/14) during a special drive-in movie screening at the Springfield Expo Center East Field.
