The Ozarks Genealogical Society will host a Treasure Hunt tomorrow (8/22) beginning at the Library Center. Car loads of “treasure hunters” will use clues to find historical sites in the Springfield area.

"I think it'll be very educational for students and adults alike to learn more about some of the historical sites. There are a lot of them in Springfield," she said.
The cost to participate in the treasure hunt is a donation of at least $5. Half of the money will go to OSG and half to winners of the treasure hunt.
The Ozarks Genealogical Society has about 460 members who guide and encourage people in researching their ancestors. The group meets three times each month.
Registration for the treasure hunt will take place tomorrow from 3 to 3:30 at the Library Center. For more information, click here.
