The Missouri State men’s soccer team will host Incarnate Word tonight (8/29) at 7 at Plaster Sports Complex.  For ticket information, 836-7678 or missouristatetix.com.

Acoustic Jam on the Square is held Friday nights at 7 on the square in West Plains.  Take lawn chairs.

A dance is held each Friday night at 7 at the West Plains Senior Center. All ages are welcome, and admission is $5.

Monarch Butterfly

Learn about monarch butterflies during the program “Monarchs Rule!” at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center tomorrow (8/30) from 1 to 4.  The program is for ages five to adult.  To register, 888-4237.

The annual Neal Moore Labor Day Parade and Picnic will be held Monday (9/1) at Fassnight Park.  The parade starts at 10 on Hammons Parkway north of Grand and will go west on Grand and south on Campbell to Fassnight Park.  The picnic starts at the park after the parade with a hot dog or brat lunch available for $5.  Proceeds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  The event also includes kids’ activities, speeches and a car show.
