The Missouri State High School Activities Association State Basketball Championship continues through tomorrow (3/10) at JQH Arena and Hammons Student Center at Missouri State University.  

Sequiota Cave Boat Tours will be offered tomorrow and Sunday (3/10-3/11) at Sequiota Park in Springfield.  Registration is required by today (3/9) at (417) 833-8647.

The All School Exhibition continues through April 29 at the Springfield Art Museum featuring art created by students of all ages in Springfield’s private, parochial and public schools as well as home-schooled kids.

TheSt. Patrick’s Day Dance will start tonight (3/9) at 7:15 at the Northview Center, 301 E. Talmage in Doling Park.  There is a fee. 

A Bluebird House Workshop will be held tomorrow (3/10) at the Shepherd of the Hills Conservation Center in Branson.  Participants will make bluebird boxes and learn how to encourage bluebirds to live in them.  To register, (417) 334-4865.

The North Arkansas Medical Foundation will present “A Night Under the Big Top” tomorrow night (3/10) at 6 at the Hotel Seville in Harrison featuring stiltwalkers, jugglers, a musician and more. 

The Moxie Cinema, 305 S. Campbell in Springfield, will show “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” part of its On Stage Series, tomorrow (3/10) at noon. 

Moxie Mornings starts tomorrow morning (3/10) at 10 at the Moxie Cinema, 305 S. Campbell in downtown Springfield.  Kids two to six-years-old will watch a short film and take part in hands-on art activities.  Admission is free. 

The Junior Auxiliary of Harrison will host a Daddy Daughter Dance tomorrow (3/10) at 3 at Fellowship Bible Church, 408 N. Ozark in Harrison, Arkansas. 

5K the Kenyan Way will start tomorrow afternoon (3/10) at 3 at Hollister High School.  Participants are encouraged to run barefoot. Proceeds will benefit Generation Next, which works to help school-age kids in Kenyan. 

The Second Saturday Art Walk will be held tomorrow (3/10) from 1 to 5 p.m. in downtown Springfield. 

The Midtown Carnegie Branch Library will host a Fix It Fair tomorrow (3/10) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Volunteer experts will help you repair a variety of items from bicycles to clothes to household appliances while you learn a new skill.  

The National IH Collectors Club Winter Convention continues today and tomorrow (3/9-4/10) at Chateau on the Lake Spa and Convention Center in Branson.  

Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield will host a Volunteer Recruitment Day tomorrow (3/10) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Volunteers must be at least 16.  Snacks, drinks and lunch will be provided. 

A Genealogy Symposium will be held tomorrow (3/10) from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Library Center.  Local History and Genealogy Department Manager Brian Grubbs will teach you how to read and analyze historical letters to piece together your family history through two hands-on activities:  Using excerpts from "Superman" comics to piece together the Kent family genealogy and analyzing Civil War letters. You’ll also learn how to begin researching your African-American genealogy using online and printed resources with help from Local History Associate Renee Glass. And a representative of the Cherokee Nation will focus on the concept of citizenship and the nationality of Cherokee people and the historical values leading to a modern Cherokee Nation and its citizens. 

The program, Encouraging the Next Generation, which focuses on George Washington Carver as a mentor, will be held tomorrow and Sunday (3/10-3/11) at 1 at George Washington Carver National Monument in Diamond. 

St. Mary’s Catholic Elementary School, 3025 S. Central City Rd. in Joplin, will host an Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow (3/10) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for kids who will be three to five years old by August 1.  There will be face painting, a visit by the Easter bunny and more. 

The Sunday Concert Series will continue Sunday (3/11) at 2 at the Library Center.  Melinda Mullins, daughter of Johnny Mullins, will perform songs from “The Johnny Mullins Collecction.”
