Springfield Little Theatre presents Elf Jr., the Musical, Friday (11/24) through December 10 at the Landers Theatre, 311 E. Walnut in Springfield. 

Springfield Contemporary Theatre, 431 S. Jefferson in Springfield, presents Driving Miss Daisy Friday (11/24) through December 3. 

Queen City Craft Show will be held Saturday (11/25) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Veridian Events, 309 South Ave. in downtown Springfield, with local artists, crafters and makers.  Admission is $4, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Rescue One, which helps find homes for homeless pets.

The Jasper Disaster Thanksgiving Saturday Ride, a 58.5 mile bicycle ride, will be held Saturday (11/25) starting in Harrison, Arkansas. 

In preparation for this year’s Downtown Christmas Parade, “A Downtown Christmas Story,” the Downtown Springfield Association and Penmac Staffing will present a series of holiday storytimes at the Park Central Branch Library on Park Central Square in Springfield. Saturday’s (11/25) storytime, at 11:30 a.m., will feature celebrity reader, Sarah Jenkins, from The Mystery Hour. 

The Republic Branch Library, 921 N.
