The 6th annual Springfield Sleepout to raise awareness of homeless youth in our community starts tonight (11/7) at 7. Registration begins at 2 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 922 W. Republic Rd. Registration is $10 per person, and proceeds will benefit Rare Breed Youth Services Program. Participants are invited to sleep in a cardboard box or tent or just their sleeping bag. Events include a cardboard box house-building competition, homeless youth simulation and thrift store fashion show. Entertainment includes field games, a homeless youth trivia contest and homeless-themed movies. Indoor activities and warming access will be available.
