Ozark Greenways

In this edition of Weekend Outlook, Michele Skalicky talks with Ozark Greenways director, Terry Whaley, about the Frisco Highline Trail anniversary celebration planned for Saturday.

Folk musicians, Mike Fraser and Tenley Hansen will present “Music Inspired by Aldo Leopold” tonight (10/10) at 7 at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center.  It’s part of the Nature and the Arts Series.  To register, 888-4237.

Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park

Fall Fest continues through October 26th at Rutledge-Wilson Community Farm Park. Hours are Saturdays 11 to 6 and Sundays from noon to 6. Ozarko Marching Festival

The 42nd annual Ozarko Invitational Marching Festival is tomorrow (10/11) beginning at 9 am at Plaster Sports Complex on the MSU campus.  High school bands from Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas will compete.  Admission is $10 and $6 for students and seniors.  Kids five and younger get in free.  Tickets will be available at the gate.

Boy Dressed up as a Zombie

A Zombie Prom for all ages will be held tomorrow night (10/11) from 6 to 10 at the Shrine Mosque.  Proceeds will benefit the Shrine Mosque Preservation Association.  The event will include dancing, contests and prizes.  Admission is $7 or $25 for a family of four.  To learn more, abashrine.com.
