The Ozarks Celebration Festival Kick-off Concert and Ice Cream Social event is tonight (9/5) at 5 just east of Strong Hall on the MSU campus featuring The Undergrass Boys, The Chapmans and Rhonda Vincent & the Rage.  The festival continues tomorrow (9/6) from 10 to 6 and Sunday (9/7) from 11 to 5 featuring more live music, craftsmen, storytelling, dance and food.  For details, click here.

The 2nd annual Nocturnal Bloom, to raise awareness of alternative art forms, is tonight (9/5) from 7 to 11 on Park Central Square.  The event will feature six DJs, live art demonstrations, a "Before I Die..." installation, sound and light design, set design and several performance groups including dancers, hula hoopers and fire poi spinners.  Attendees are encouraged to come in costume and interact with the different elements of the event.  For more information, click here.

Daddy Long Legs

Kids three to six-years-old are invited to the Little Acorns program “Hey! Big Daddy” today (9/5) at 11 and 1:30 and tomorrow (9/6) at 11 at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center.  They’ll learn about harvestmen, otherwise known as daddy long legs.  To register, 888-4237.
