Journey Into Jazz this evening celebrates the modern jazz orchestra. The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra has been recording since 1990 and is an excellent example combining modern hip-ness and earthy swing. The group is led by bassist John Clayton and drummer Jeff Hamilton along with John's brother Jeff Clayton on alto saxophone. It's a swingin' band. Thanks for tuning-in and I hope you enjoy the show.
