Senator Roy Blunt spoke with members of the press Monday to share his reaction about the news of Osama bin Laden’s demise. KSMU’s Theresa Bettmann has this report.
Blunt says he had no prior knowledge of the planned attacks to take out Osama bin Laden. As a member of the Intelligence Committee, he says that American intelligence officials have been working leads since 2005 concerning the whereabouts of bin Laden. He says he feels the ten year wait for justice is over. Blunt said he supported the president’s decision to execute a direct attack instead of an air strike.
